So, I hit 44 yesterday. Somehow I feel much younger, or at least much less mature than 44. It’s a number that doesn't feel real somehow—like it belongs to someone else. But it’s mine, and so is the story I’m about to tell you. Six years ago, I wasn't sure I'd see another birthday. In fact, I was quite sure I wouldn’t. I was trapped in a life that didn’t feel like mine—a story of not being enough, of not doing enough, of just... not being okay. It was like wearing a label I couldn’t peel off.
